Ionisos, a leading player in the sterilization of medical devices, is proud to present the second edition of its annual Sustainability Report . This report reflects our ongoing commitment to social and environmental responsibility, as well as the progress made in 2023.
This year, we structured our report in anticipation of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) of the European Union, which will apply to Ionisos starting in 2026. As such, the report adheres to European sustainability reporting standards (ESRS) and is organized around three key areas: Environment, Social, and Governance.
In 2023, we took a major step in our climate action efforts: the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) validated our decarbonization targets for 2030, aligned with the Paris Agreement. We are committed to reducing our greenhouse gas emissions (scopes 1 and 2) by 42% by 2030, using 2021 as the baseline year.
We are proud to contribute to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in the areas of health, decent work and economic growth, industrial innovation, and responsible consumption and production.
